iland Statement on COVID-19
Earlier this month the US Department of Homeland Security identified critical infrastructure industries and workers that are now considered key to fighting the coronavirus. Information technology was among 16 industries cited, calling out specifically the importance of cloud service providers like iland. A similar designation was made by UK government officials.
iland recognizes the significance of CSPs being included with industries like healthcare services, pharmaceutical companies and food suppliers tasked with sustaining the infrastructure necessary for mission critical applications and systems during this time of crisis.
Our cloud experts are working alongside our critical infrastructure partners to keep our customers’ cloud data and operations safe and available at all times. This includes supporting a remote workforce in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia, in addition to maintaining ongoing communications with our 10 global cloud regions.
We have also put into place contingency plans to ensure business continuity at all the impacted regions. iland maintains a distributed, global support model with sufficient staff to ensure that even in the event of a regional issue, command and control functionality will not be impacted.
We have diversified our data center topology, which includes NOCs in North America, EMEA and APAC, while enabling technical and support teams to work remotely.
As a result of these preparations, we do not anticipate any interruption of service to our customers. If you need further information, please reach out to your account manager (if you are a current customer) or use our chat tool to speak with a representative.
